Book Review: The Future of Fusion Energy

Happy new year! Today’s blog post is a short review of a popular science book on fusion energy (The Future of Fusion Energy by Jason Parisi and Justin Ball).

For a while I’ve been looking for a book that would explain what, precisely, the obstacles to using fusion for commercial power generation are — a technology that has been hyped for decades, but seemingly never produced convincing results. This book is exactly what I was looking for: enough technical detail to get informed about the state of the technology, but still accessible to non-physicists.
